This policy explains what information KoolMeet (koolmeet.com) handles when you host or join a video meeting, and the choices you have. KoolMeet is a private, self-hosted video conferencing service.
Information we handle
- Meeting information — the room name and the display name you enter when you join.
- Audio, video & screen share — your media streams are relayed between participants to run the meeting. They are not stored unless a participant starts a recording.
- In-meeting content — chat messages and any files you choose to share during a meeting.
- Recordings — created only when a host explicitly starts recording; stored on Kooltel infrastructure and available to the host.
How we use it
We use this information solely to connect participants and operate the meeting — establishing the call, relaying audio/video, delivering chat, and (when requested) recording. We do not use meeting content for advertising and we do not sell it.
Self-hosted & not shared
KoolMeet runs on Kool Telecom's own infrastructure. Meeting media is not sent to third-party conferencing clouds. We share information only with the participants in your meeting, with service providers that help us operate the platform under confidentiality obligations, or as required by law.
Retention
Live meeting media is not retained after the meeting ends. Recordings persist until the host deletes them or requests deletion. To delete a recording or ask about data, contact us below.
Security
Connections are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your meetings.
